Returning to the long-running comedy show for the first time since 1982, Sir Elton John served as both host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" last night (April 2).
The "Tiny Dancer" singer took the stage in all black for his opening monologue in which he proudly declared ?The b*tch is back!? before jumping into jokes about his past drug abuse and life with his new son.
As for the sketches, Elton was joined during the night by a full slate of star power - as Tom Hanks, Carmelo Anthony, Will Forte and Jake Gyllenhaal all made appearances.
Meanwhile, John also offered up plenty of musical entertainment while joined throughout by Leon Russell for renditions of tunes including ?Hey Ahab,? "Monkey Suit" and "The B*tch is Back".
